While the changing of the seasons is actively anticipated by many people, apartment managers understand that the winter months can bring some unusual conditions that make it more difficult and even dangerous for their residents. For that reason, many of the more experienced ones opt to do a little proactive preparation. Here are a few suggestions to get you started:
Have the Right Tools and Materials on Hand – Finding a shovel, a flashlight or even some sand in the middle of a storm can be problematic. Be organized, be stocked and know where your tools and materials are located before you need them.
Inspect Roofs and Furnaces – Inspecting these two items ahead of time is extremely important as they will leave your residents wet and/or cold if not functioning properly.
Trim the Trees – Plant life may be the last thing on your mind in the middle of winter but they can be extremely dangerous and destructive if not properly trimmed.
